What?
Exhibition
In a new installation at the temporary bauhaus-archiv, the world’s largest Bauhaus collection can be explored using artificial intelligence.
The Bauhaus-Archiv / Museum für Gestaltung is home to the world’s largest Bauhaus collection with around one million objects. Though only few of these objects have been exhibited so far, numerous digital images of them exist. How can we bring these unknown treasures to light? The Bauhaus Infinity Archive installation takes advantage of the power of artificial intelligence (AI). Each click on the touch pad leads to new search results: You draw lines and the AI finds images in which they appear. Or you can search for images which contain a certain colour. The underlying concept is driven by cutting-edge research on neuronal networks. We invite you to discover more than 15,000 images – photos, documents and work sketches – most of which have never been publicly shown before. Experience in an impressive way how exciting, interactive and dynamic an archive can be!
